CRAIG C. DE MEO, ESQ.
PARTNER

I attended Hofstra University where I majored in Political Science. I was a member of the Political Science Honor Society and graduated in 1996 with honors. I then attended Touro Law School in Huntington, NY, which has since relocated near the Central Islip Courthouse. I received my Juris Doctorate in 2000 and graduated Cum Laude, ranking in the top 10 of my class. I received the CALI Award for Academic Excellence in Contracts. Further, I achieved the highest grade in my class for the subjects of Contracts, Constitutional Law, Property, Advanced Legal Research, Comparative Law, First Amendment Seminar and Torts. Lastly, I passed Touro's Writing Tutorial Requirement with honors.

I was admitted to the Bar in July of 2001. I began practicing law in Downtown Manhattan for Daly, Dalton & Schermerhorn, currently Bamundo, Zwal & Schermerhorn, LLP. The firm specialized in Plaintiff's Personal Injury and Insurance Defense. During my six year tenure at the firm, I began developing and honing my skills as a Plaintiff's Personal Injury Trial Attorney. I was responsible for the handling of over 100 cases and my areas of specialty were motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, trip/slip and fall accidents, construction accidents and contract litigation. My total settlements reached in excess of a million dollars. Moreover, I became fully knowledgeable of all the Civil Supreme Courts in all five boroughs, as well as in Long Island.

In 2007, I became the Managing Attorney for the Plaintiff's Personal Injury Department of the Law Offices of Mitchell N. Kaye located in Midtown Manhattan. I was responsible for the day-to-day operations and decisions of the firm, as well as the managing of over 200 cases.

On January 1, 2008, I formed DE MEO & ASSOCIATES, LLC. The firm is a Plaintiff's Personal Injury firm that handles cases in all five boroughs, Nassau County, Suffolk County, Westchester County and Sullivan County. The firm's expertise is in matters pertaining to motor vehicle accidents, trip/slip and falls, premises accidents, construction accidents and negligence. Having a practice exclusive to plaintiff's personal injury assures the firm's clients that they are receiving the expertise needed to obtain successful results. The firm is committed to its clients through its dedication, hard work and aggressive approach. Such an approach has allowed the firm to achieve in excess of a million dollars in awards this year alone.

Moreover, I have made a conscious decision to be strict with the matters I accept for the firm. This management of the firm's caseload ensures that each and every case receives the attention it deserves. Thoroughness and preparation allows the firm to secure the maximum recovery on each case. Most importantly, I am involved in every aspect of the client's case through inception to resolution. This personalized service to my clients is a necessity and the cornerstone of what the firm was built on. Every client needs to have the assurance that the attorney they hire knows every single nuance of their respective case. Further, the firm's clients need to know that their attorney is accessible at all times. That is why every client has my direct number and is afforded the ability to email and/or text me directly.
